Wednesday Update What we want to continue doing in some of these Wednesday Updates is begin to look at major events in the news in their larger historical context.... And maybe even how some things will be viewed in 50 years, 100 years or even 500 or 1000 years...
Subject: The Bailout & More IV (Wed., January 14, 2009) (approx. 5795 words, 10 pp.)
The so-called "Bailout" or "Rescue Plan," Part IV (or) We may be at a Watershed Moment in American and World History? (or) What this "Bailout" or even so-called "Meltdown" which precipitated it might mean... (or) "What we have here is a failure to communicate..." and to understand and lead by both political Parties for the last 16 years, at least?
This is our final commentary on the $700 Billion Bailout or Rescue Plan... and on the autos’ bailout, and whoever else needs one... Clearly, some bailouts may still be inadequate, and perhaps even ill-conceived, but the recession will presumably play itself out with time. As the President of Ford said, "We built too many cars." Pretty simple, really? Kind of like we built too many houses! Typical boom and bust, and we added it to it greatly and kept the boom going longer by extending massive no down payment credit to people who had no chance of paying it off. How could all of the MBA’s and economic geniuses not seen this coming? Hard to say, really? Maybe in the end we only see what we want to see? Still, the goal since the 1930s of economists was to take the highs and lows out of the economic cycle, which probably will not ever be completely repealed? And we seem to have totally abandoned that as a basic economic goal? In any case, we must start to address more fundamental issues in the economy, and otherwise. These things go far beyond the campaign sloganeering we saw this past fall.
Humanistic collapse of spoiled and foolish Baby Boomers? It is considered sacrilege to question libertarian philosophies in the Republican Party, while, on the other hand, it is considered sacrilege to question liberal positions in the Democrat Party, but someone must called into question the misguided nature of these extreme, and ultimately humanistic positions. In this sense we are not in a "normal recession" of boom and bust or overproduction and getting it out of the system with time. The stimulus plan in the Spring of 2008 was a red flag of the first order! Give everyone $600, and you will stop a recession? This was just silly, but it showed how out of touch with economic reality both political parties are! (It did help cover unprecedented high gas costs for most people, but that was about it?) For the past 16 years the two Baby-Boom Presidents (spoiled and foolish?) threw the time-honored principles of American law, justice, and economics to the wind, and we are now reaping the whirlwind, not just of the past 16 years but of the radical humanist philosophies from the 1960s which laid the theoretical groundwork for these last two Presidents?
The year was 1968, and the world fell apart... The year was 1968, and the world fell apart with political riots and demonstrations everywhere, virtually around the world actually! How soon we forget! On the college campuses two groups fought for control of the campus: the straight fraternity ("frat") guys and the hippy-dippy (pot) heads, but neither group ultimately had depth and substance. Still, each group produced one of the last two Presidents? But where to now for America and the world? I have been saying for 40 years that the Republic built on the sands of humanism cannot stand (as did Cicero for so many years), and I have now been proven correct! In truth, the amoral radical libertarian/ individualist position is as humanist and foolish as the morally relative liberal one which completely ignores the practical realities of markets, just reward, desirable individuality, individual accountability etc.
So, what now for America, and even the world? So, what now for America, and even the world as we here in the USA attempt to show some leadership by example in these political/ economic areas? Now we build upon the Rock of God’s wisdom and truth as seen not just in the Natural Revelation, but, interestingly, as so also seen in the Special Revelation of the Bible. An interesting combination of the two is emerging here?! It only took 40 years, but this hour has come? I am almost the only person on earth these days doing this particular combination of the Natural and Special Revelation stuff, though it was completely commonplace for 1800 of the last 2000 years!!! I guess, if one waits long enough one’s views come round again, and back in style! If you saw the movie Gettysburg, the great Union officer and a hero of that battle and winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor, no less, was a philosophy teacher of the Natural and Special Revelation before the war began!!! Why? Because virtually everybody used to do what I do in my Great Books Story video series!!! But we have lost this worldview philosophical activity as the point of higher education, but, again, previously it was commonplace and the foundation of higher education 150 years ago, and it had been for the previous 1800 years!
In education Bloom outlined the problem but missed the point! In the late 1980s Allan Bloom outlined the failures of American higher education since the 1960s in his modern "classic" The Closing of the American Mind. Higher education has become a closed-minded, morally relative, virtually outright decadent humanism. As Paul would say professing to become wise and reasonable, higher education became unwise and unreasonable, and even claiming to become "tolerant" it became "intolerant"! Crazy but true, we all know now, and anything that did not fit with this morally relative, humanist agenda, often typified by radical feminism and the pop culture of all things, had to be dispensed with! Bloom, famously, had no solution to this 1960s humanistic disaster that had befallen higher education besides going back and reading the famous, some would say infamous, Great Books Series out of the University of Chicago. But, in truth, everyone who looked at this mess understood that that was no solution at all! Why? Let me count the reasons, or at least list a few of them! Bloom’s idea was to get back to the 1950s days of his youth at the U of C and read the Great Books and carry on the great debates of college education and history without coming to any conclusions. Bad idea! First, the Great Books Series was a good idea but was tragically flawed. It leaves out great works such as (The Bible, the Pre-Socratics, Cicero etc., etc.) and it includes a lot of stuff that overwhelms the collection, with pretty superfluous stuff. In many ways the Great Books Series out of the University of Chicago in the 1950s had already gone humanist, but Bloom did not realize that! Bloom was technically a "skeptic" ("forever leaning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth," as Paul says), and Bloom did not believe in worldview thinking, and he even says so. He wanted to read every figure as an independent thinker in the quest for human knowledge, not really very related by philosophical or worldview type to any other thinker. Hence, Bloom did not, and could not, have any solutions to the closed-minded humanism (claiming to be open-minded, no less) which had engulfed American higher education in the 1960s.
Philosophy 101, for 1800 years... Yours truly, solves the problem of higher education and its closed-minded morally relative humanism (that claims to be both reasonable and tolerant and is neither) by going back and simply picking up what had been done by both humanist and theists for 1800 years of the last 2000 years before we began to throw out the great debates of philosophy in the "Enlightenment" of the 18th century, and these debates were pretty much completely gone by the end of the 19th century, and certainly by the beginning of the 20th century. However, previously the humanists and theists tended to see the situation in a pretty similar manner in the first 1800 years of the common era (whatever that is), but they reversed who the "good guys" were, of course. In short... Heraclitus starts the quest for the Rational Order of Things, while Protagoras and the Sophists start "man is the measure of all things," and truth is just winning the argument. Socrates says, "no" to this Sophist position, and that there is a real Truth by reason, and Plato also says "no" to the Sophists because there is a real Good by reason, and Aristotle, in effect, also says "no" to the Sophists because there is a real Right, right here on earth in the nature of things. And the Sophist positions generally become identified with humanism, amorality, legal positivism, and Epicurean hedonism, and they tend to be "materialist" in the sense they do not believe in spirit or mind and certainly life after death. Philosophy 101 here in the West for 1800 years! (This is not complicated in its basics, and pretty easy to do, and "re-establish"!)
The classical worldview clash: humanism versus rational moral theism, what’s new? Indeed, this worldview dichotomy of rational moral truth/ theism versus humanism with no rational or real morality and no real good and no "truth" beyond material facts is pretty well outlined specifically by the great Cicero himself in the 1st century BC, no less, in the opening chapter of his Laws as well as in his On Duties. (For more on this get the videos on "the worldview chart to start all worldview charts"! Straight out of the Laws!) Cicero also eventually actually adds important philosophical concepts like good faith, and, in effect, heart and mind, and so forth. But the point is Cicero sees himself to be in the tradition of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle and one’s moral good is one’s true good and true fulfillment, and it is not simply indulging one's self (in one form or another) as the humanist says from the Sophist to the Epicurean to Bentham to Dewey. Indeed, the great humanist, Bertrand Russell, would tend to give the exact same analysis of history, philosophy and worldviews, but he would just say the humanists were correct, and that they were supposedly the truly "rational" ones, of course! In any case, the point is re-establishing higher education for the next 500 to 1000 years is not difficult, but fun! And I just did it again in 2 or 3 paragraphs! But what of worldviews and even religion? Not difficult either!
3 (or 4) major worldviews but many "religions," as such!!! In fact, there are only 3 major philosophical worldviews (or 4 if you count skepticism as a worldview, which it is, but the skeptics do not like to do it, so let’s not offend them!). The 3 major worldviews besides skepticism are humanism "man is the measure of all things" and rational moral truth theism. Very, very simple! That is 2 but what about the 3rd? The third comes about because there are 2 forms of humanism! Initially, humanism in Protagoras and the Sophists generally, and then in the Epicurean hedonists, is a hard-core humanism with no real moral good by reason with no mind or spirit. Hence, it is a materialist humanism, sometimes called in our time a secular humanism. But, the other form of humanism is a spiritual humanism, which does believe that man has a heart, soul, and spirit, etc. And this is going to emerge in the early centuries of Christianity in opposition to Christianity, specifically. It does not accept the rational moral truth of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, or Cicero nor their philosophical God nor does it accept the God or moral truth of the Bible (that is, it also, as the materialist humanist, rejects both the Natural and Special Revelation). This would be the mystery religions, the Gnostics, most would say the Neo-Platonists, and so forth, and in our time this would be the liberal Christian and the liberal Jewish person, and so on, who does not accept the natural moral law nor the literal truth of the (Special Revelation) Bible, again, supposedly rejecting these 2 revelations by "reason," but not really! And again, very, very simple, not complicated, and not original with this writer! But there are many "religions," as such, in the world today, and these relate to how one relates to God. Some of these believe in rational moral truth, and some do not.
"Religion" hangs on the truth of the Bible (the Special Revelation) also by reason!!! To be very clear, I do occasionally add original stuff in all of this analysis, but the basic outline is not at all original with me but standard stuff for most of the last 2000 years. However, there is a major problem here, and perhaps a few minor ones. Just as the skeptic does not like his position to be called a worldview, since he does not believe in worldviews, so too the spiritual humanist does not like to be called a humanist, because he believes in "spiritual" matters! Indeed, the modern day liberal Christian and liberal Jewish person, as well as those into New Age, generally do not want to be called "humanist" and often even consider it an insult! So, in deference to such people we at this website tend to call the spiritual humanist (sometimes called a cosmic humanist) a spiritual Liberal, but we often capitalize it to indicate it is an actual philosophical worldview position. Generally. the person into New Age ("you shall be as gods"), liberal Christianity, and liberal Judaism does not mind being called a (spiritual) "liberal," indeed they agree and usually insist, and, therefore, are not offended by the label, and so we defer here since "liberal" is an accurate label to describe spiritual humanism, which is? Which is any spirituality or religion which does not accept the literal truth of the Bible nor its cosmology nor ultimate Judgment nor a literal atoning sacrifice, nor literal bodily Resurrection of Christ, nor literal Pentecost etc., all of which are known, yet again, by reason, when one does an historical investigation of the Biblical text. And, yet again, the Liberal is going to say that Scripture is not known to be true by reason; indeed he holds just the opposite to be the case, that is, that he is the "reasonable" one! "Reason" for the Liberal rejects Scripture as true by reason, historically and otherwise, but the Liberal still keeps a spirituality to life and human existence, where man is yet again "the measure of all things." Hence, point made, the Liberal is a spiritual humanist, with no real Good, True, and Right, and no God of Genesis 1:1 revealing himself in the Bible and in history and entering into literal covenants with man, and so forth. What does this mean? Many things!
In Religion, as such, Bible Christianity will stand, other religions fall away... Right now in our video Great Books Series we are re-establishing traditional or Biblical concepts of Bible Christianity. Bible Christianity may or may not be true, though it certainly is if Christ walked out of the grave, but either way, if it is true, then other religions are false speculations or revelations, or at least false to the degree they are in conflict with Bible truths and to the extent they worship any other gods! In truth, as we have already pointed out on this website in our New Testament video Series: Hinduism is just old-fashioned polytheism (demons), Buddhism atheistic desirelessness, Taoism metaphysical balancing of the yin and yang, Islam is worshipping "Allah," generally not the same as Jehovah most theologians hold, etc. On the other hand, Christianity is an experience of God in personal covenant relationship through Christ and his atoning sacrifice, simple enough? And, What does this mean? There is eventually going to be a "one world religion," but it is not going to be "ecumenical Liberalism of all religions" but rather Bible Christianity! All other religions or those based on the traditions of men and not God’s Word will simply fall away, as false. Not complicated, and nothing new here! Bible-believing Christians have been saying this for centuries! And this means, presumably, both Roman Catholicism and Mormonism will get on board for a Bible Christianity and reject their claims of extra- Biblical revelation! So, does the plot thicken here? No! The plot sorts itself out here! There are many religions in the world, but Bible Christianity is the only true one if the Bible is true, which we have good historical reason to believe, the spiritual Liberal and materialist humanist, notwithstanding. Indeed, the spiritual Liberal and materialist humanist are actually irrational, but they cannot see that, of course. What does this all mean? The current cultural "civil war" in America between liberal and conservative will eventually come to an end! "Why?" Good question...
Historically, there were virtually no "liberals" in America Historically, there were virtually no "liberals" in America. America had three main religious groups, and they were all conservative and rational moral theists. They were conservative Judaism, conservative Roman Catholicism and conservative Bible Christianity. The Unitarians were something of a minor exception but that is about it. We had virtually a unanimous cultural consensus on rational moral theism and even the truth of the Bible for the most part by all 3 groups (but not the Gospel as such of course), that is until the 3 main groups started going "Liberal" in their religion (rejecting both natural and special revelation) as Protestants, Catholics and Jews, and this Liberalism (of moral relativism and rejecting the Bible/ Special Revelation) spilled over from "religion" to education, to law, to politics, to government, to the arts and entertainment, etc. "Liberalism" was born in the demise of traditional religion, whether Protestant, Catholic or Jewish, and it generally holds that man does not have a sin problem! What does all this mean?
A Great Awakening to the Gospel ends the Culture Civil War... as day follows night You will note: The conservative Mormon and conservative Roman Catholic do not disagree with the Bible Christian about the Natural Revelation of rational moral truth/ theism, but rather the sole foundation of religion in the Bible (the Special Revelation). This means in the so-called "culture civil war" the only people the Bible Christians can count on as allies are Mormons, conservative Catholics and conservative Jews, because all these groups hold to, or, that is, have maintained, the same worldview concerning the Natural Revelation, and hence the Declaration and the Constitution. It is no coincidence that Orin Hatch (a Mormon) stood in the gap for the Constitution, almost alone, for decades, and it is no coincidence that of the four conservative Constitutionalists on the Supreme Court all 4 are said to be Roman Catholic or have that as a primary worldview background! Now, do the math! If we have a Great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel it is going to bring everybody on board for Bible Christianity in a religious sense, but it will also bring the humanist (materialist or spiritual, that is, "Liberal") into rational moral theistic worldview of Bible Christianity and of the Declaration and the Constitution! Think about it, if we have a Great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel, "Hollywood" or the arts and entertainment will no longer be based on humanist hedonism, but uplifting moral good. (Obviously.) Also, law will no longer be based on legal positivism of whatever the state says is good is good, but on a real moral good and justice as it was for 1800 of the last 2000 years, no less. Again, think about it, you cannot end up with a "living Constitution" unless you start out with philosophical legal positivism! So, with a Great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel, we will re-tool all the law schools in a philosophical worldview sense back to the prior rational, moral, higher natural law foundations, just as we will re-tool all of undergraduate education out of closed-minded humanism and back to rational moral theism as its foundation. So far so good... But...
But, here, "as day follows night," the plot does, indeed, thicken... Here, the plot thickens, and the problem here is that we are at this time not about to come to the Light of a true and great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel. I think that is fair to say, and that is probably the only way we are going to end the great culture civil war, philosophically speaking, between liberals and conservative in all areas of society, whether in education, entertainment, law, or even politics! Today, we cannot even figure out that the family, of all things, is a natural social unit in the order of things, as obviously created by God. We have, hence, a long, long way to go with clear worldview thinking (on rational moral truth in the very order of things as created by God). And the only way we get there is almost certainly by way of a Great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel, and we are not really very close to that either? But we may be close if God gets our attention, so to speak, in ways that we would prefer that he would not, whether in the economy, war, natural disaster, pestilence, famine, or whatever. The various horsemen and plagues and calamities of the apocalypse? Let’s hope not! God help us, we've had enough of those! In any case, sometimes God intervenes in history, and sometimes these things tend to work themselves out naturally and sometimes in a combination of the two, and we have been through many calamities on earth over the centuries, but there may a big set of calamities at the end of the age that tends to change mankind’s thinking about God, reason, truth, and good in general and the Gospel in particular! And, hence, as day follows a night, not just of a dark closed-minded humanism, but of great trials and tribulations we may go from Bible Christians being 5 or 10 or 15% of the population to their being 85 to 90 to 95% of the nation and even world population. And this is as the light of the day of the Gospel follows the darkness of chaos, trials and tribulations. The humanist’s and Liberal’s problem is primarily, not that he denies the truth of the Gospel, but that he denies the truth of the Natural Revelation in the first place (seared conscience, reprobate mind, etc.) in order to even consider the Gospel in the second place. And that rejection of the Natural Revelation, historically, is the whole point of humanism (both material and spiritual).
Bottom-line: Little "new" on this website to date, anyway Most of what we do on this website in restoring education and religion and so forth is fairly easily found in the literature of previous generations or in conservative Bible commentaries. I have my own emphases and occasionally my own insights but talking about and comparing the Natural and Special Revelation has been around since the second century though it has fallen out of favor with contemporary Evangelical Christianity and certainly with humanism which does not even allow the debates to take place, but the task of starting this stuff up again in history is not that difficult, but again "fun"! Getting education back on the track of worldview thinking and rational moral theism is no big deal. We just do what we had been doing throughout almost all the history of Western man before the humanists took over the universities in the last 100 years or so and threw out the great debates between theism with a real Good, True, and Right and humanism which holds these things do not exist! Nor is restoring entertainment much of a problem for moral, uplifting, and inspiring art, at least, once we decide we want to do it, unless you have given yourself over to calling evil good! And re-establishing law generally on traditional rational truth foundations is no big deal either since until the last 100 years or so virtually no one in the West ever considered advocating (an ultimately absurd) legal positivism as the basis of law, generally.
This means that this website, so far, has re-established... This means that this website has re-established or is in the process of re-establishing education, entertainment, and even religion for the next 500 to 1000 years. In fact, if Bible Christianity is true, which we pretty well know it is by reason, then all other religions and forms of "Christianity" will fall away, fairly obviously! And the Protestant Liberals, so-called "higher critics," will cease to exist, with their non-belief starting assumption. Nothing new here! Bible Christians have been saying this for centuries! Virtually nothing "big" or "original" in any of this! The great Saint Augustine, himself, did almost all of this in the West for a much longer time period, than a mere 500 to 1000 years, indeed, some 1300 to 1400 years! And he did it when few if any had done it before! So, as day follows a dark, closed-minded humanist night in most of the major areas of our current dark humanist crisis in education, morality, law, and religion (thinking darkness is light and calling it good), so too we will come back to the true Light of God, the Bible and rational moral truth more generally, actually fairly easily when the transition comes, since this stuff has been around for centuries and even millennia, until we threw it out of the schools and seminaries and law schools in the last century or two! So, what’s the problem? And what does all this have to do with our current economic problems? Everything! We still have no vision, as such, for economics nor for the just state, nor do we have an easy vision to go back to in order to have these things for today!
This website’s greatest challenge ever: An Unprecedented Vision! So, what is the problem? For lack of a vision, "the people perish!" And, in truth, we have little or no vision, as such, for the just society and of just government, politics, economics or, in many cases, law, even if we wish to abandon humanism and legal positivism as the basis of law, government, and politics, and even economics. Outside the original American vision with its roots in the natural revelation, the Bible and British history, we have no specific vision to return to in any easy straightforward manner as we do with higher education, entertainment, the philosophy of law, and Bible religion. So, big problem, here! Big, big problem here! (Even for the kid, himself! Talented as he may be...) So, we here at up to speed go for it face our greatest challenge ever! To establish (if not really in this case exactly "re-establish") law, government, politics, and economics in order to set up the just, stable, and prosperous society or so-called "commonwealth" for years, if not centuries to come! That is, when we finally all get on board that this is what we really want!!! This task, this endeavor, this vision will tax our time here at this website, our talent, and our resources to the limit!!! This will be something virtually never attempted before, certainly never done successfully anyway, in the long history of mankind on earth, though it has been attempted occasionally through the centuries by a handful of brave thinkers. So, bottom-line: We set this vision for the Just Republic as our goal in the coming months!!!
Humanist Republican libertarians and humanist liberal Democrats, out of ideas! As we said last time (in this 4 Part Series on the so-called "Rescue Plan"), the current economic "system," it would seem somewhat self-evidently, is structurally and fundamentally flawed if not outright broken and neither political Party is ready to deal with this reality at this time. And, there is no vision to do so!!! Things are just screwed up, period, and it is my contention that this is a direct result of the economic policies and philosophies of the last two administrations over the past 16 years, which grew out of the humanist liberal and libertarian 1960s, and it is time that we as a nation (whether so-called "red" or "blue" states) face this reality head on, accordingly. Both the Democrats and the Republicans are out of ideas, clearly, and they together in their misguided ideological (liberal and libertarian) extremes have virtually destroyed not only our culture, entertainment and education but an entire nation and its economy, in a mere generation or two, but this website is not out of ideas on what needs to be done, and a vision to do it! In fact, we have a truckload of ideas!
Coming Tuesday, January 20, 2009, a new Tuesday Report Series!!! Therefore, it is our intention at this website to start a new Tuesday Report Series starting Tuesday, January 20, 2009 on what went wrong with the USA and world economy over the past 40 years, and why, and how to fix it and save us (and future generations) from our current problems and flawed humanistic "visions," which are darkness, indeed! What a task! (Piece of cake!) And, January 20th is a wonderful date to begin, since our Republic will see a new administration which will hopefully help lead us out of our current unprecedented problems! This coming Tuesday Report Series on January 20 will even help to commemorate this first day of our first African American President! We are truly a multi-ethnic nation! Praise God! But we do not want to become multi-cultural in the wrong sense! We want to be American-cultural to our original vision for all ethnic groups!!! And to be more, at this time! Will Obama be able to rein in the far left, and will he even try in order to lead us into a new vision? Time will tell... In any case, time to end the split between the far "left" and "right" that is tearing this nation apart!!! We need a common vision!!! And now is the time!!!
Time to end the divided nation and so-called culture civil war!!! We have, with our video series, already re-written undergraduate education for the next 500 to 1000 years, presumably, and we are in the process of doing the same for all seminary education for the next 500 to 1000 years with our video New Testament Series on Bible Christianity, so, why not add to our plate economics and maybe even law, legislation, government and politics for the next 500 to 1000 years? Why not? Our goal? A single American vision that both political Parties will agree upon (presumably, after a Great Spiritual Awakening to the literal truth of the Gospel), and we then elect the best person or Party to implement that vision, as we did for most of the first 200 years of the nation! This is exactly what we do not do today, with each political Party tending to have its own faulty humanistic vision, though a minority of the Republican Party does openly claim the original American vision...
A Herculean task, no doubt... beyond Plato, Cicero and Smith! In the decades prior to the American Civil War in the 19th century we had divided political visions, tragically, and it led to the temporary break up of the Union! And we have in our time tended to have divided visions as well between the two political Parties since the radical humanistic 1960s, and this must stop, and it can only stop when, and if, we agree on a common vision for our Republic or Commonwealth. No small task to create such a thing!!! But it can be done!!! And, it will be done!!! This will be a Herculean task, no doubt, but why not! Nothing better to do with ourselves in our spare time in this coming year here at up to speed go for it! An all new Republic of Plato and of Cicero, and an all new Wealth of Nations of Adam Smith, almost unimaginable in this dark hour, but nonetheless... In reality, Plato’s Republic, not only failed, but was downright nutty! Cicero’s Republic was a noble attempt to re-establish an idealized form of the earlier Roman Republic, and it failed as well, but one heck of an effort! And, in truth, in some ways, even many ways, 1776 was something of fulfillment of Cicero’s vision. And Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations? A brilliant work no doubt, but with numerous, and ultimately serious, tragically fatal flaws!
The goal? A Just Republic So, we can say quite bluntly though something like what we will attempt with this coming Tuesday Report Series has never been done before, at least successfully, in the long storied history of mankind, we will attempt it! We will entitle this work, this Tuesday Report Series, A Just Republic, and we will consider what is necessary, in truth, not simply for "justice" but for the true prosperity, economic and otherwise, of a nation, and for all nations, and for all the citizens in them. This is sometimes called a "commonwealth," of course. Hence, this will be a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the laws, government and economics of the just and prosperous Commonwealth or Just Republic. (Of course, it could just as easily apply to a Constitutional monarchy, presumably.)
"But it can’t be done!" "But it can’t be done!" Please, I will not countenance defeat! "But it is impossible for one man to turn around the almost complete collapse of the economy, and the World and Western financial system, culture, law, government, and civilization!" You want to make a bet? ...This is the moment Alexander had waited for all his life... Alexander, son of a God... It was a myth, of course... But, so what... Never before here at up to speed go for it dot com have we ever attempted anything like this! But, as God is my witness, we can do it... and we will do it... Coming Tuesday, January 20th 2009, if at all humanly possible, we will then start the enterprise... It will take a few months to sort this all out completely, from scratch, no less, but it can be done I feel certain... A great challenge, no doubt, but a good one for a young man of a mere 28, or so, years, like myself... for all practical purposes, anyway... Like Joshua and Caleb, God has supernaturally preserved my youth for the past 40 years to lead us, if not specifically into the Promised Land, or Kingdom Era, at least out of the humanist desert of libertarianism and liberalism we have been in for so long! "This will be the greatest and most important thing ever written in the entire history of mankind!" I wouldn’t go that far, good grief, man, get a grip... =========================== |
